Sri Lanka Retrieval Project

Building retrieval medicine
where it is needed most.

A long-term initiative to develop sustainable, locally-led retrieval medicine capability in Sri Lanka. Target operational date: 2030.

In Progress — Phase 1

Sri Lanka
Land of endless smiles.

Sri Lanka has a unique health system commended by the WHO to be one of the best low-cost health systems in the world, a committed medical workforce, and the geographic and logistical profile that makes organised retrieval medicine both necessary and achievable.

What is missing is a formalised retrieval framework — the protocols, training, equipment standards, and coordination infrastructure that convert clinical competence into system-level capability. This project aims to build that, with Sri Lankan clinicians, for Sri Lanka.
